VOLUME CONTROL:  The new software does not require a volume control.  SPIKE 3 allows adjustments in the menu.  This allows you to adjust sound and volume of the blackbox versus the subwoofer.  Thus eliminating the need for an additional volume control.

ESPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR SPIKE 3 SYSTEMS.  No volume control or wiring included.  The SWTR-4C kit provides an 8-inch sub-woofer with attached network to replace the original 8 inch speaker. The special design of the sub-woofer network routes the low frequencies to the sub-woofer which extends bass reproduction to 32 Hz. for unbelievable sound. The SWTR-4C kit includes new 4-inch 8-Ohm backbox speakers and a stereo volume control for the back box speaker levels that provides for greater bass output from the sub-woofer. No permanent modification is required to the pinball machine.

Our 8-Ohm backbox speaker will not overload the games audio amplifier like other kits can. The 8-Ohm speakers wired using stock wiring.  The amplifier sees a constant load over the volume range and the L-Pad drops completely out at full volume. Kits using 4-Ohm automotive speakers can cause overload to the amplifier if run in parallel (2-Ohms) or lose 2db of high frequency sound if run in series.  Don’t risk damage to your sound card with kits using 4-Ohm speakers.

The SWTR-4C kit is for the latest Stern pinball machines with the Stern SPIKE System CPU/sound card and comes with a SW-4V sub-woofer, two 4 inch  backbox speakers and a volume control with attached wiring harness as shown below.
